Effective Presentation 5389 Discussion 2

I was very fortunate at an early age to be able to be put on programs at church. I didn’t know why then but now I know that every time my mom volunteered me to participate in a program it was for me to be able to deal with large audiences of people. Being 5 and 6 years old standing up in front of people is so scary but just as Simon Sinek mention you just must be yourself, own the room, and know your stuff (Sinek). He mentioned more but those three stuck out to me because that’s what you must do for anyone to really believe what you say is true.

Now when giving a speech sometimes you are faced with roadblocks that can’t be preventable but in the nature in which one occurs you will be able to get though those objections and be able to push forward. By getting your audience involved come up with a way to make a joke just to get by but never just stand there or say ummmmm like you’re thinking that really throws off what your trying to get across to the audience.

Both videos from this week were very good to watch even though I know im good a public speaking I get nervous and have to stop, pause, and get make on track.
