Babbyyyy from being in school to being thrown in a position where I had 32 children was something but I pull through still passing my class with an A. Since I'm up doing a few things to get ready for the Spring semester I decided to get on here and express how greatful I truthfully am to be able to still have the freedom to be a student and a full-time sub- teacher the pay aint bout shit but I'm making it work.

I really wish they would raise the pay and pay us more since teachers are in high demand doesnt really feel like we are that important and we have to deal with the children of America all day.

This semester went by pretty fast, every assignment seemed to have come and gone and come again. Every weekend I believe I had something due, but it was ok because it kept me on my toes which caused me to want to learn more. Upon actually getting into Course 5317, Resource Digital Environments, I looked over the syllabus and had no clue how I was going to get it all done especially since I don’t know too much about technology but, I shocked my own self at the results I’ve come up with. Dr. Still did an amazing job teaching this course. I really enjoyed this course to the fullest and got a chance to collaborate with new colleagues since the others I had have since graduated.

This semester Dr. Still tried to make it easy by splitting the class up in groups so that we could collaborate, but it didn’t work out like that. I made several attempts to reach out to the colleagues in my group and even put my phone number on the classroom discussion board and only got one person from the group to reach out and we just went from there and started our own little duo which turned out to be perfect. This duo included Mrs. Veronica Goodly and myself, even though I got the group started Mrs. Goodly kept us organized especially when it came to our meetings. Even though we had such aa small group will still managed to get things done and work submit.

On most meeting nights which were held on Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturdays via zoom, email, voice, and text. Our meeting would start at 8PM and end at 10PM something going over but, we didn’t care, all we cared about was making sure to get all work completed and turned in in a timely manner. Our talks and discussion were never boring and always went off track but quickly got back on. Overall, to have only a few members I must say we did an amazing job and will continue to as we complete our ADL Master’s program here at Lamar.

For me course 5317 was very unique because I had to interact more with technology, no I’m not too fond of it because it’s a lot that goes along with it. One click of the button and the whole computer can shut off so when it comes to being tech savvy, I’m not it but I do try and that’s what keeps me going. This class went side by side with how I am trying to get my students able to get transitioned into blended learning environments within their small group rotation time in class. It has been a pretty rough transition, but we are holding and hanging on to the real reason and that’s making sure our students are on top of their studies through these new and different learning tools that will allow them to expand their learning ability.

For Course 5317 I rate myself 96/100. Even though all components were met I had a little bump in the road where I gotten sick from my students at the job and was down a few days causing me to not submit my outline on time. Soon as I could I reached out to Dr. Still, who understood the situation and I turned my late assignment in and continued working on my other assignments. The discussions this semester not only helped me build my publication but also helped me learn new resources that I can take back to my own classroom.

Creating media and being able to engage with this new technology is now our new way of living now days. Media allows one to be creative as well as giving one the opportunity to think outside the box when it comes to what it is they are trying to create while allowing the mind to be free. Being able to think outside of the box is great and a more effective way to be able to engage with others whether in a classroom setting or in the real world.

For the media podcast I had the opportunity and pleasure of working with Mrs. Veronica Goodly, we were able to get together and come up with different tools to help our students stay engaged with using technology in the classroom. We both agreed that students do and will become distracted but also came up with different techniques to keep them interested and entertained during their learning progress within the classroom and at home.

In order to get one to even look at my publication, it has to have something that will have them excited to read it. The title itself must be eye catching enough for the person to say I want to know more about this subject, so I’ll start there with finding a title that’s exciting.

This week’s video discussion played a major role when it can to finding and creating content that was out of the box, but we managed.
